David Fox Ltd is one of the leading Citroën dealerships within the UK. After spending nearly fifteen years in the motor trade, David decided in 1979 that he would like to venture out and start his own business. It all began as a partnership when David and his wife Pam started David Fox Car Sales.

From the beginning David's objectives were to offer good value for money and to make sure that the customers were not pressurized, but made to feel welcome in a family business. That is still very much the case today.

Since moving to its current location in Wetherby Road, Harrogate and holding the Citroën franchise since 1992 the business has gone from strength to strength. From an envisaged forecast of 100 - 120 new vehicles a year we are currently achieving sales of over 600 new, plus a similar amount of used as well. Around 40% of our new vehicle sales are light commercials, making us one of the top dealers in the country in terms of Citroën van sales.

In 1995 the company changed from David Fox Car Sales to David Fox Ltd and in 1998 we extended the showroom to comfortably accommodate twelve vehicles. At the same time we relocated our entire Pre-delivery Department and Body Repair Shop to a new site in Knaresborough, 3 miles away, to allow more space for the display of new and used vehicles.

In March 1999 after a lot of hard work we were awarded ISO 9001:2000 accreditation as part of a pilot group of Citroën dealers chosen by Citroën UK Ltd.
